Description

STEK FORMULA X-Oil is a professional glass oil film remover that quickly dissolves and removes oily residue from automotive glass, leaving it perfectly clean and ready for protection.

Over time, glass picks up a thin, often invisible oil film from road grime, hands, polishing compounds and badly applied waxes. X-Oil breaks this layer down, leaving a clean, degreased surface so that ceramic and hydrophobic glass coatings, or windscreen protection film, bond as strongly as possible and last longer.

It’s an essential prep step for detailers, and it can be used by hand or by machine for precise control.

WHY REMOVE OIL FILM FROM GLASS?
Glass that looks clean can still carry a thin oil film from road grime, hands, polishing residue or old wax. This layer causes smearing and stops glass coatings and windscreen film from bonding properly.

STEK FORMULA X-Oil dissolves and removes these oily residues, leaving a clean, degreased surface so protective products bond as strongly as possible and last longer.

How to use it?

HOW TO USE (BY HAND):
1. Prepare the glass
Wash the glass and leave it slightly damp. Work out of direct sunlight on cool glass.

2. Apply X-Oil
Apply a small amount of X-Oil to the applicator.

3. Work it in
Gently rub the glass with the applicator in overlapping passes to break down oily residue.

4. Remove the residue
Wipe away any remaining product with a clean microfibre towel, then check the glass.

HOW TO USE (BY MACHINE):
1. Apply X-Oil to a fine microfibre or foam pad.
2. Polish gently with a dual-action polisher at a maximum of 2000 rpm.
3. Wipe off any residue with a clean microfibre towel.

Pro Tip:
Water should sheet evenly across the glass when the oil film is gone. Apply your glass coating or film straight after for the best bond.
